Immigration & Nationality Law

Immigration & Nationality Law

The firm has over 30 years’ experience in Immigration and Nationality Law.

With the current government policy towards immigrants in the recent years and the change of Rules getting visa for a foreigner has become almost a nightmare.

We are very efficient and proactive when dealing with immigration cases understanding how important these issues are to the client.

There are various categories under which one could apply to stay or settle in the UK. This includes:
-          Student Visa
-          Visa by marriage
-          Visa under Human Rights
-          Work Permit Visa
-          Asylum
-          Bringing spouse or children from abroad
-          Application to have elderly parents
-          Application as a carer to look after an elderly and/or disabled person
-          Application made by EU Nationals and/or their partners or family members
-          British Citizenship Applications
-          Appeals before Immigration Tribunals
-          Judicial Review Cases

The above are only the most common applications made.

Our fees will vary according to the nature of the case, the complexity of the matter, the amount of work required and also it depends on whether it is a straight forward simple case or complicated one.

Usually this could be between £1,200 and £2,000 (no VAT) for a single application and dealing with the Home Office. It could be less or it could be more in a special case. If we think it is a case which warrants charging higher fees we will discuss and agree with the client and we will deal with the matter only if the client is satisfied with the fee charged.

If an Expert Report needs to be obtained for a case the client will have to pay separately to the Expert (usually a medical consultant).

The above fee will not include any appeals made and dealt with in the event the application is refused. For any appeal we would charge approximately £2,000 (no VAT) which may include retaining of a barrister.

There is also an Immigration Health Surcharge payment which is usually £500. This fee is not paid if the application is for Indefinite Leave to Remain. There is also the Home Office fees which will depend on the type of application you are making.

Any other types of applications or work done including work in the higher courts will be discussed and fees agreed with the client.

If you have an immigration query or an application that needs to be made or even an appeal you need dealing with, we would always advise you to come to us as soon as possible so we can help you from the beginning and avoid unnecessary costs and expenses that may arise when an application is not completed properly.

We also prepare Sponsorship Declarations for visitor visas.
